Lakshmī (लक्ष्मी) is the Hindu goddess of abundance, beauty, prosperity, and auspiciousness. She is one of the most beloved deities in the Vedic tradition and represents far more than material wealth. She is often shown with four arms, each representing an aspect of human fulfillment: dharma (purpose), artha (prosperity), kāma (joy), and moksha (liberation). Gold coins flowing from one of her hands symbolize generosity and the continuous flow of abundance, while elephants pouring water over her represent strength, wisdom, and royal grace.

Although Lakshmī is often associated with wealth, the Vedic tradition teaches that her blessings extend far beyond financial success. Good health, meaningful relationships, wisdom, peace of mind, generosity, and a grateful heart are all expressions of her. Lakshmī reminds us that prosperity is not measured only by what we possess, but by the quality of our relationships, our generosity, our character, and our connection to the Divine.
