In Jyotish, Nakshatras (नक्षत्र) are the twenty-seven star clusters that divide the twelve signs within the houses into even smaller segments. Each nakshatra consists of 13 degrees and 20 minutes, and each are especially important for understanding personality, emotional patterns, relationships, and one's spiritual path. This is why the exact birth time is so crucial in Jyotish. Every four minutes, there is a one degree change. This means being off even four minutes could change your natal nakshatra.

The 27 nakshatras are:

3. Krittika — Ruled by the Sun, the razor represents the power to cut ties.

6. Ardra — Ruled by Rahu, the teardrop represents the power to make efforts.

9. Ashlesha — Ruled by Mercury, the coiled snake represents the power to inflict poison.
